University of MInnesota presents Bach Vespers Service

Featuring the University of Minnesota Singers, Symphony Orchestra Members, and the First Lutheran Church Senior Choir. Kathy Saltzman Romey and Robert Whalen III, conductors.

Performing Bach Motets BWV 230 Lobet den Herrn, alle Heiden and BWV 118 O Jesu Christ, meins Lebens Licht and selected solo movements and choruses from Mendelssohn's Elijah.

On Sunday, March 21 2010 at 8:00 pm the Bach Society of Minnesota will celebrate J.S. Bach’s 325th birthday with a concert exploring “Death and Taxes.”  Come hear Bach’s musical thoughts about these worries of life then and now.
