Ghanaian dance troupe pays a visit to their Minnesotan 'family'

This weekend, the Twin Cities will welcome Saakumu Dance Troupe of Ghana, West Africa on their first United States tour. Made up of 11 dancers and four musicians, Saakumu Dance Troupe is among Ghana’s leading traditional/contemporary dance and music groups. The Troupe is from the Bagara region in northwest Africa and their performance represents that region’s culture as well as that of other regions of Africa. MORE »

Oral Roberts U grad Bachmann says Harvard grad Obama ‘isn’t well-schooled’

Michele Bachmann recently told the Hometown Source, an online extension of ABC Newspapers in the northern suburbs, that Barack Obama “isn’t well-schooled and prepared to be President of the United States.”
