12:25 Dayton wins DFL nomination!

AT 6 a.m., the  Secretary of State website showed 93 percent of precincts reporting, with Mark Dayton leading by 176,229 votes (41.13 percent) to Margaret Anderson Kelliher's 171,252 votes (39.97 percent). Kelliher has not yet conceded, nor has Dayton claimed victory. Matt Entenza, who conceded early in the evening, trailed far behind with 77,944 votes.

In St. Paul, Rena Moran in House District 65A and John Harrington in Senate District 67 have won the DFL nominations.

The latest federal unemployment statistics, released August 5, show a 9.5 percent July unemployment rate, unchanged since June.
