COMMUNITY VOICES | Open Streets event animates Central Avenue

The third Open Streets event this summer in Minneapolis was held on Central Avenue on Sunday, July 27th. The street was closed to motor vehicle traffic from 18th Ave. NE to 26th Ave. NE from 10 am to 4 pm, and people biked, walked, and visited the many stations and vendors along the route. The event is a project of the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition. The Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association worked to organize arts activities on the street.
