  1. This is a brilliant example of investigative journalism on a topic that is not sexy, but important as an indicator of the waste and contradictions built into NCLB. The law has been shaped by the $500 billion education indusrtry, comprised of big testing companies (many of these connected to textbook publishers), and other “providers of educational services,” with the Clinton and two Bush administrationss contributing to the flow of federal funds to religious organizations. You have correctly looked at the data and the law. I hope that you get wide circulation on this article. A copy should be on the desk of Arne Duncan, who seems to be clueless about this demoralizing and wasteful law.
