On Tuesday, January 8th, Idle No More showed up at the opening day of the St Paul Capitol and held a rally and flashmob. Appproximately 200 mostly Native Americans showed up.
MPR (Minnesota Petroleum Radio?) WCCO, KSTP, Star Tribune or any of the other corporate media have not seen fit to informing you, the people of Minnesota on this issue.
On December 6th about 50 Occupy folks went to the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission hearings in St Paul. We had gotten wind that the Enbridge Corporation were seeking an OK for them to build new oil pipelines. Specifically to increase their capacity to carry Oil from the XL Tar Sands extraction in Canada.
If I sound like an alarmist- well it is because I am alarmed.
