Dear Readers,
As a theater professional for twenty years, I have seen the best and the worse of performancies from the unique perspective of a IATSE stagehand, AEA stage manager, member of the Playwrights' Center, and a life long thespian.
Although I no longer work "behind the scenes" due to a work related Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), it is my intentions to support the performing arts community that has supported me for so many years.
Therefore, I am starting to write reviews of productions I have attended and previews of theaters I support. I believe that the Twin Cities has some of the best performers. Too often the Broadway tours get all the press. I would like to help readers discover some of the best and most affordable theater, which is often produced at the smaller venues. Of course, there are still some of my favorite larger venues, where I worked for years. Like all theater, everyone has hits and misses. I would like to help direct potential audience members to the unsung hero hits!
Please support local theaters! They support you!
Sincerely,
Marie G. Cooney
