A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Leah Sorensen is a junior at Hamilton College in upstate New York. She is pursuing a double concentration in public policy and sociology.
Leah’s previous public policy coursework has explored early childhood development programs, business incentive programs, and the national obesity epidemic. Reflecting on her experiences in both the public and private school systems in Minnesota, Leah cultivated an interest in education policy.
Leah is a member of her college’s varsity rowing team, and she enjoys hiking and reading in her spare time.
Remember around this time last summer, when the U.S. was about to hit its debt ceiling?
