The Love Show. Beautiful music, three beautiful, funny ladies – can’t miss with this one. Might tend slightly silly/raunchy, but in good ways.

Minnesota Fringe Festival shows I'm missing, but you don't have to...

There just aren't enough hours in the Fringe to see everything I want to see. Just getting started? Don't worry -- still plenty of time to get your Fringe on. If there is not a Sunday show listed, the Saturday show is the final performance -- unless they get the Encore slot at 8:30 on Sunday for the highest selling show in each venue.

I’d been looking forward to The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Dr. Jekyll at Theatre in the Round. Written by Fringe favorite Tim Uren, this show is awesome. Dr. Jekyll develops a magic potion, but, due to a little mix up, it ends up in the hands of his maid.

Ten Reasons, The Problem (with) Your Mother's Butt, Sousepaw, and Nightmare in Bakersfield at the Minnesota Fringe Festival

I was lukewarm on Ten Reasons Why I’d be a Bad Porn Star by May Lee-Yang at Intermedia Arts. Parts of the show worked really well. I love the Hmong culture bits that she does, but also realize that May shouldn’t be relegated to writing and performing about Hmong culture (and specifically the funny parts) exclusively.

Rambler Family Ramblers, Cat, Super Spectacular, FLESH, Disney Dethroned

One of the beautiful things about Fringe is the happy accident, the show you weren’t planning to see, but for whatever circumstances (other show in the venue sold out, for instance), there you are.  And then the angels sing and the heavens open and you meet god.

Wow, what a slow start to Saturday. It’s hard to get a jump on the day when one sleeps until 11. Oh well. 1:00 came and went, 2:30 was gone and luckily, I live close enough to venues that the 4:00 was possible.
