Andy Driscoll is a broadcast media journalist, content producer, writer/commentator and political and communications consultant. Driscoll produces and co-hosts TruthToTell, a weekly public affairs discussion program on KFAI Radio, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and periodically on local television and online video journalism sites. TruthToTell is a production of CivicMedia/Minnesota, a nonprofit public affairs content and civic literacy organization. Organized by Driscoll in 2006, its mission is to use public affairs programming to engage and reengage Twin Cities and Minnesota citizens in community-based problem solving and self-governance and to develop informed citizenship in young people.
A 50-year veteran in media, public affairs and performance, Driscoll is a national award-winning broadcast journalist, contributing writer to several print publications and a specialist in public policy, public affairs, and community organizing. He holds a Masters degree in Liberal Studies from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's degree in political science and communications from Metropolitan State University, and is currently a candidate for Master of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs.
Driscoll's professional and public service include broadcast and print marketing, creative development and senior management positions with the state of Minnesota and several city governments. He has served as member and officer of several state, metro and local regulatory (e.g., St. Paul Human Rights Commission) and advisory boards (e.g. Ramsey County Human Services Advisory Council chair) and commissions (e.g., St. Paul Charter Commission) and nonprofit human service agencies (e.g., West 7th Community Center president). He has run for local political office three times and organized successful community campaigns for redress and reform of consumer, environmental and governance issues in two states and five cities.
A native St. Paulite with three grown children and two grandchildren, Driscoll lives in St. Paul.
