Biography

About me

A baby boomer who never wholeheartedly embraced political activism, yet always was leaning to the progressive causes. Unwilling to relinquish his country to the authoritarian conservatism that has risen to power over the last thirty years, he is taking on a more public presence to promote positive and truthful discourse. Less attempting to persuade ideologues, he hopes to encourage reasonable people to join in denouncing the falsehoods and misleading statements of any group or individual. He has faith that collectively the world has more decent people then corrupt souls, but the honest must not remain uninvolved.

So a misanthropic recluse is speaking out.

2010 Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival

I did get my kite fix last Saturday. The cold was hard on my aging camera batteries. They seem to drain more rapidly, but as they are years old with many cycles on them I am not surprised. I stated to shoot around 12:30. The last image my batteries were able to capture was 3:00. On the walk home I gathered a few necessities from the Hardware store; in all a brilliantly productive day.

I believe my neighbors are trying to poison me. The incidents have been gong on for years. Again three plates of Christmas cookies have been dropped off, and I have no will power. Sugar surges through my veins and prompts me to reach for another bar or cookie, and of course chocolate is a key poison enticer.

Found: Camera and the kindness of strangers

I had been staying around my house for weeks. I had not been out to any public event since the end of August. I had done a number of small household projects, and was as my habit, I did some photography of the processes, but even those were done with little zeal.
