Aaron Hays was born in Des Moines, IA and discovered black and white photography during high school. He graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2012 with a degree in Justice & Peace Studies and Communication/Journalism. His work has been featured in TC Daily Planet, The Aquin,TommieMedia.com, Seward Profile, Cityview, and The Understory Blog, and he has worked with such organizations as the University of St. Thomas, Rainforest Action Network, Greenpeace USA, Changemaker Norway, Redesign, Inc., the Seward Civic & Commerce Association, and Face Forward MN.
He currently works on the Media Team for Face Forward MN and as a Minneapolis-based freelancer.

Nearly 50 colorful cars, bicycles and a "couch-mobile" descended on Lake Harriet in Minneapolis Saturday evening for the 18th Annual ArtCar + ArtBike Parade.
