I think a big part of the problem is that West River Parkway is treated like an arterial transit road when it's a "park" way. The vintage wooden section by the Guthrie is falling apart...

The comment about the haphazard way that Portland and Park connect to First Avenue is right on. I have tried numerous configurations of ways to get between these 2 streets and the Stone Arch...

And don't forget wolf hunting and TRAPPING will begin in 2012 with both snare and foot traps allowed. Trappers are required to check their traps DAILY but we know that won't happen allowing wolves...
