Murdered Palestinian teen's family protest in Minneapolis, demand US cut Israeli aid

In Minneapolis, family and friends of Mohammad AbuKhdar took to the streets to protest after the Palestinian teen was kidnapped by Israeli settlers, tortured, forced to drink gasoline and burned to death. This was shortly after the bodies of three Israeli teens were discovered, allegedly killed by Palestinians. The Israeli government has launched a series of retaliatory raids against the Palestinians.

More than 200 people of many races and ethnicities rallied in front of Sen. Klobuchar's office to protest attacks and killings of innocents. The Anti-War Committee, which organized the protest, says Klobuchar has ties to AIPAC (American Israel Public Affairs Committee), a group that supports the continued US funding of Israel. A Facebook posting for the protest event said, "Instead of continuing to support Israel, the US should pressure Israel to end this campaign of collective punishment, acknowledging the war crime that it is."

The group then marched to the old Star Tribune building to protest the paper's lack of coverage on this issue.

"Because they have not been covering the full story and voices of the Palestinians." said Sabry Wazwz, one of the protesters.
