Wednesday, Jan 15: Documentary "Who Built Our State Capitol?"
7 p.m. Free special showing followed by Q&A with Producer Randy Croce, Labor Education Service, University of Minnesota, and its researchers. The film features a profile of the early West End/Czech immigrant family of Jan Rachač (1849-1936) and his son John Rockart, partner of Cass Gilbert. Interviews take place in the historic meeting room of the C.S.P.S. Hall which will be open to tours after the event. http://www.sokolmn.org

Wednesday, Jan 22: West 7th Business Association General Membership Meeting
3 p.m. at Seventh Street Social, 2176 7th St West. Agenda includes election of your new 2014 Board of Directors, keynote speaker Louis F. Jambois, President, Saint Paul Port Authority SPPA) on findings of the SPPA’s study of industry in Saint Paul, and socializing/networking. Complimentary appetizers; cash bar. All are welcome.

6:30-8:00 pm. 6th-12th grade girls participate in leadership, teamwork building, cultural activities, crafts, community service and field trips.

Mondays, January 6, 13 and 27: Circle of Parents

Mondays, January 6, 13 and 27: Teen Girls Circle
4:15-5:00 pm. Weekly group for teen girls, grades 7-12. Encourages young women to be healthy, self-confident, educated, and responsible by participating in life skills, workshops, college prep, community service and fun activities. To register call Azeb Gebretsadik at 651-298-5493, ext. 215.

Tuesdays, January 7, 14, 21, 28: Family Open Gym
10:30 am- 3:00 pm. No registration necessary. Open gym play for infants through preschoolers together with parent or caregiver. Families responsible for setup and tear-down of equipment. (May not be held some weeks if the gym is in use.)

Tuesday, January 7: Care Giver for Adult Children Support Group:
5:00-6:30 There are many decisions a caregiver needs to make in their role as a caregiver, some harder than others. 2:00-6:00 pm. Families with children ages 0-14 who are registered through the Salvation Army Clearinghouse can select toys and warm outerwear.

6:00-8:15 pm. Movie is free with low-cost concessions (pizza, popcorn, etc.). Children must be with someone age 13+.

Friday, Jan 10: Ramsey After Dark: Victorian Superstitions
7 p.m. This one hour program discovers why and how superstitions captured the Victorian imagination including the Ramsey family's letters and journals.

Thursday, Jan 30: History Happy Hour: Dapper Dan's Demise
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Have a drink with your friends at the Ramsey House. Hear the story of an infamous St. Paul gangster with Star Tribune editor and author Ben Welter. Must be 21 years and older. Price of admission includes two drink tickets (white wine and beer only) and snacks.
