Wednesday, November 6: the Holiday Blues, presented by NAMI and W7CC
10:30-11:30 a.m. A presentation with NAMI’s inspiring speaker Kay King, and actors from River’s Edge Playback Theatre. Playback Theater is a form of improvisation in which people may choose to share stories from their lives, and a group of actors brings the heart of the story to life. Register by Oct. 30. Nov 3 - 9: Our Western District Police Station: Police Station Visitors Week
A global event that invites groups of community members to assess the quality of service delivered by local police departments, to identify best practices and to strengthen ties between police and the communities they serve. Tuesdays, November 5, 12, 19 and 26: Early Childhood Music
9:45-10:30 am. 6-week session – $45 for 1 child, $55 two or more children from the same family. Music fun for infants through preschoolers together with parent or caregiver. Young children learn basic rhythms and melodies combined with movement using a variety of rhythm instruments. Call or stop in to the front desk to register. (651-298-5493)
Tuesdays: Family Open Gym
10:30 am- 3:00 pm. No registration necessary. Open gym play for infants through preschoolers together with parent or caregiver. Families responsible for setup and tear-down of equipment . (May not be held some weeks if the gym is in use.)

Tuesdays, November 19, 26, December 3, 10: Third Age Yoga and Chair Yoga
9:15-10:15 or 10:30-11:30 or 1:30-2:30 Third Age Yoga is a sensitive approach to yoga for those of us who may have felt that yoga wasn't for us. Do you think your physical limitations or age would prevent you from doing yoga? Are you afraid you'll hurt yourself? Or have you wanted to try yoga but were afraid you would feel out of place or embarrassed in a yoga class? In Third Age Yoga, you'll learn how to move comfortably and safely to increase your flexibility, build strength and increase balance. In addition, you'll practice a variety of breathing and relaxation techniques to invite inner calm, increase your lung capacity, and refresh your body and mind. Chair Yoga: Would you like to practice yoga but don’t feel comfortable getting down to the floor and back up again? Not to worry! Using a chair as a seat and a helper, and a yoga mat to stand on, learn how to move comfortably and safely increase your flexibility, build strength, enhance your ability to focus, and improve your balance. And finally, enjoy breathing and relaxation techniques to invite inner calm and refresh your body and mind. $24 per 4 week session. Thursday, November 7: Family “Star Wars” Themed Book Fair!
4:00-5:45 pm. Grab your Lightsabers and join us for our free family book fair in the Community Center gym. Bring the whole family for books, crafts, games & snacks. Every child toddler through teens can choose three books to keep.
Friday, November 1: Fare for All Discounted Groceries

Monday Square Dancing
6:15-8:00 Have you always wanted to try square dancing? Looking for something fun and healthy to do this fall/winter? Modern square dancing is a great way to meet new people and get exercise too! Seniors, singles, couples, families, all are welcome to join! *Must come to the first couple classes in order to be enrolled in the group.
