Dinkytown Greenway opens with multi-stop ride

After two decades of planning and hoping, the Dinkytown Greenway opened on Sunday, August 4th, with a ride that took bicyclists from the St. Paul Campus of the University to the west side of the Mississippi River. The Greenway connects the #9 bridge to the University Transitway, creating an off-road connection that can take bicyclists from downtown Minneapolis to the Fairgrounds.

The ride featured several stops, including one at the future site of Surly Brewing Co., which plans to build 200 bike racks in their future home, just off the University Transitway.

Here's a look at the ride.
