Corcoran neighborhood's first Little Free Library on 34th Street between 22nd and 23rd Avenues.

Corcoran neighborhood just got its first Little Free Library, thanks to residents Tom & Kim Medin who live on the 2200 block or 34th Street.  In this beautifully tendered yard known for its flowers and Monarch butterflies you will now find a library built by Tom out of wood that Kim salvaged.  “The wood came from a house I lived in many years ago,” said Kim, “ and my dad remodeled and pulled the wood off the wall.  It is cedar so we thought it would last a long time.”

The library, which they hope lasts a long time as well, will be registered with Little Free Library organization, which began as a project of Wisconsin Partners for SustainAbility.  Find a library in your neighborhood by access the google map.  Stop by to give a book or borrow and book, and enjoy the Monarchs while you browse.
