Southside Village Boys and Girls Club to hold a "March for Men Mentoring" June 26 to attract new mentors

Mentors can make a positive difference in the lives of young people, but finding those mentors and getting them to step forward can be a challenge.

The Southside Village Boys and Girls Club in South Minneapolis is trying to attract mentors – particularly men, and especially men of color. To do that they’ve scheduled a “March for Men Mentoring” for Thursday, July 26th at 6pm at the Club, located at 701 E. 39th Street in south Minneapolis - at the intersection of 39th Street and Park Ave. S.

Brian Kelley has directed a community program called All About Family for 9 years, and is a part time mentor coordinator for the Boys and Girls Club Southside Village. He talked with KFAI's Terry Carter. [Audio below]
