NEIGHBORHOOD NOTE | Taste Northeast Minneapolis on July 14, from Modern to Cowgirls, from Solomon to Sen Yai Sen Lek

Northeast Farmers Market, University and 7th NE, is a community hub for locally grown produce. Northeast area restaurants have long supported Northeast Farmers Markets financially and as customers for locally-grown food they serve their patrons.

The Taste of Northeast, set for Saturday, July 14, 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. is the Market’s chance to turn the tables on these local supporters. The Market will “bring the best of Northeast cuisine to one place, featuring small portion dishes for purchase from vendors. The menu for the day includes treats from the Modern Café, Cowgirls Killer Catering, Sen Yai Sen Lek, Solomon Bakery and Bridgewood Café & Catering.

The day’s activities will also feature music by The Sudden Lovelies, a local group, and a Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting for the Market at 10:00 a.m.

On that Saturday the Market will host over thirty vendors, including local artisans, purveyors of specialty foods and produce from more than a dozen local farmers.
