Finding bikeways in Northeast

Decades ago it was and industrial center the Twin Cities, but Northeast Minneapolis neighborhoods have since become a thriving arts district, and with that transition welcomed a new focus on foot-powered progress.

Increased bike boulevard capacity, the region's first bicycle traffic light, and increased bike-share stations all have shown the potential to transform a cityscape.

A recent bicycle tour of the NE neighborhoods showcased new bicycle infrastructure, bike-friendly businesses, and ways to get involved with bike safety and advocacy. It's up to consumers to change habits that demand smart transportation policy for Minnesota.
