First ever "Northeast Ride" highlights neighborhood and bicycling culture

Over 250 bicyclists rode the streets of Northeast Minneapolis on Saturday, June 2nd for the first ever Northeast Ride. The Northeast Ride was a project of the Northeast Community Development Corporation, which wanted to highlight neighborhood businesses, build community, and build bicycling culture in Northeast.

The ride featured nine stops at various Northeast locations and parts of the ride took advantage of some of the new bike infrastructure that has come to Northeast in the past year.

MTN's John Akre rode the Ride with his camcorder and created this report.
