NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | "Precious Waters" at East Side Food Co-op April 26
This month’s movie screening and discussion at the Eastside Food Coop features “Precious Waters” on Thursday, 7:00-9:00 p.m.. The film and discussion is in the Granite Studio at EFC, 2551 Central Avenue NE.
“Precious Waters” was produced by Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, a nonprofit organization that works to protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and its ecosystem. The film was written, directed and edited by filmmaker John Whitehead. It features a range of voices discussing the industry’s track record of failed predictions, toxic pollution and taxpayer liability for industrial mistakes.
A representative of the Sierra Club will participate in the screening and discussion.
Free and open – free refreshments.
