NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Screening of "The Future of Food"
“The Future of Food” is a compelling film that graphically depicts the complex web of market and political forces that are changing what we eat as huge multinational corporations seek to control the world’s food system.
Shot in the U.S, Canada and Mexico, the film also explores alternative to large-scale industrial agriculture, placing organic and sustainable agriculture as real solutions to the farm crisis today.
The film and discussion are Thursday, February 16, 7-9 p.m. at the Eastside Food Coop, 2551 Central Avenue Northeast.
It’s free and open – refreshments served.
