NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Class on building solar stations
If ever there were a winter to think solar, we’re experiencing it now – not that we need the heat, but the sun is shining and we need to know how to harness that heat. Northeasters and others interested in building a personal solar station that can run appliances will want to know about the “Build Your Own Solar Station" class taught by Joaquin Thomas of GoSolar.
The class will take place at the Northeast Library, 2200 Central Avenue NE in Mpls,
It’s 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28. Attendees will learn how to build a personal solar station that can power products such as 12V appliances, water pump and LED lights;
