NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Nordic Skiing Paralympics
Minnesotans are eagerly awaiting the Nordic Skiing Paralympics scheduled for February 1-2 at Theodore Wirth Park, 1301 Theodore Wirth Parkway. The international event, organized by the US Olympic Committee, features teams from Argentina, Canada, Finland, Germany, Japan, Norway, Poland, Russia, Switzerland the US.
The call is out in Northeast Minneapolis for Polish-speaking volunteers who will be able to assist visitors to explore the city, greet visitors at the airport and more. Fluency with the Polish language is not required, but very helpful. Interested volunteers should contact cynthiaosterling@gmail.com.
