Union Park District Council is looking for a composting intern for Spring 2012

The Union Park Composter: A Resident Initiative will directly engage 100 residents and provide educational material to over 18,000.  This project aims to educate residents on the positive impact of composting, empower residents with the knowledge and tools need to effectively practice composting and food waste reduction techniques themselves, and encourage them to communicate about composting. Implementation will include creating marketing materials, writing articles, consulting with composting experts and vendors, community outreach to neighbors, staffing community resources tables, working closely with the Community Organizer and the Neighborhood Issues Committee of the Union Park District Council.
