NEIGHBORHOOD NOTES | Summer fun at Roosevelt Library
Talk about an upcoming remodeling project at Roosevelt library during a meeting on June 14, 7 p.m., at the Sibley Recreation Center.
Plan to bring the kids to the Roosevelt Library this summer. A variety of fun events are planned. Be a chemist for the day. Check out authentic samurai armor. Come for storytime, or join a book club. Details below.

CHEMISTS IN THE LIBRARY

Entering K-grade 5. Learn about the wonders and excitement of chemistry with easy-to-do activities led by this volunteer group of chemistry students, teachers and professionals eager to share the science with all ages. ART OUT OF THE BOX: SAMURAI STYLE
• Thursday, July 14, 2–3 p.m.
Entering grades 2-5. See what the noble warriors of Japan wore and be dazzled by details found in authentic samurai armor at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts. Get a taste of samurai fashion in an art workshop inspired by ancient Japanese armor. This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund and the Library Foundation of Hennepin County. Presented in partnership with the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
