Governor Dayton in January, after Emmer concession today

The Minnesota gubernatorial race has ended, with Mark Dayton heading for the governor's office in January after Tom Emmer conceded the race December 8 in Delano.
The recount still has to officially wrap up, but the recount turned up no surprises and no substantial changes in vote totals. With 100% of the vote recounted, the totals are 919,183 for Dayton and 910,508 for Emmer. According to the December 7 press release from the Secretary of State's office, the State Canvassing Board planned to meet to review challenged ballots on December 8, 9 and 10. However, the total number of challenged ballots was not enough to change the outcome of the election.
