Faces of Cinco de Mayo

May 09, 2010

After a rainy start to the celebration on Friday night, precipitation largely stayed at bay on Saturday for day two of the Cinco de Mayo fiesta in St. Paul's District del Sol. Thousands of revelers of all ethnicities packed Cesar Chavez Avenue for music, rides, games, and—of course—food and drink. As I walked through the festivities with my camera, there was a smile to snap everywhere I turned.

Photojournalism!

Awesome photos and great colors. Thanks for the photojournalism snap of a wonderful cultural event.

beautiful celebration

Great Low-rider Car Show for those who braved Friday night's rain.  Lots of free activities for children in Parque Castillo.  An active, colorful event for the family in spite of the intermittent weather.
