Dayton's Bluff Neighborhood News and Events

Please visit the Dayton's Bluff Community Council to learn more about the neighborhood.

Just 5 minutes from downtown Saint Paul, Dayton’s Bluff is a historic neighborhood with outstanding views of the skyline, the Mississippi River and even downtown Minneapolis. Dayton’s Bluff is Saint Paul’s largest Historic District and includes homes that range from large Victorians to small worker cottages. The Mounds Theatre, the main campus of Metropolitan State University, wonderful coffee shops and restaurants, as well as three large parks: Indian Mounds (with ancient burial mounds and caves), Swede Hollow, and Bruce Vento Nature Sanctuary(all of which are connected by the Bruce Vento Regional Trail) are located in the neighborhood. Dayton’s Bluff residents are actively involved in many community projects and groups—documenting neighborhood history, developing walking tours, and beautifying and planning for the future of the neighborhood.
