The neighborhood includes Lake Calhoun's beautiful northern shoreline, the lively Calhoun Commons shopping district and surrounding businesses, many residential buildings (apartments and condominiums) and 32 homes. The neighborhood is divided by the Midtown Greenway, which offers a biking path that extends to the Mississippi River and connects to paths that go into downtown Minneapolis. Bus service is available on Lake Street into downtown and to the suburbs. There are many mature trees in the neighborhood, especially in the area that is adjacent to the lake.
