Jeremy Stratton (strattonjer@gmail.com) is a journalist living in Minneapolis. His experience includes writing, reporting, editing, photography and blogging for a number of print and online publications.
Most recently the editor of
The Bridge newspaper and
Bridgeland News online, Stratton has a strong background in community news. He began his career as a freelance and beat reporter for several community papers in Minneapolis and St. Paul published by Triangle Park Creative. He worked as a staff reporter for the
Downtown Journal, where his coverage of all things Downtown included development issues and the production of the “Condo Watch “ during the residential building boom of the mid 2000s.
Topics he has covered run the gamut but include community engagement issues such as NRP and neighborhood groups; development; business; historic preservation; local geography and history; and the Mississippi River.
His articles and/or photographs have appeared in print and/or online in
Finance and Commerce,
Twin Cities Daily Planet (www.tcdailyplanet.net),
City Pages,
The Rake magazine,
Hennepin History Magazine,
Southwest Journal,
Downtown Journal,
Minnesota Good Age,
Minnesota Parent,
Minneapolis Observer, and BBC Online (photo only).
His interests include biking and international travel (both of which he wishes he did more of), and he has recently launched
The Onologist’s Wine Blog, which chronicles his personal foray into the world of wine — the classic journey from ignorance to experience, if not bliss.
