On January 12th, 2008 the Lake Harriet Winter Kite Festival filled the sky with mirth. Pleasure descended to the frozen surface which buzzed in glee, as kite lines were exchanged, tugged and tangled. Skaters streaked, marshmallows gooey-ed cheeks, pets made new friends, young hands flapped in anticipation, and joy jumped about, any fish below kept a leery eye on the bobbers in the holes, and aerial lift-offs raised the heart as well. If you attended, you probably smiled and laughed. Here are three of my best images. Were you there?
