  1. WOW ! the Uptake breaks real news. Great job Mike !
how long did it take local news with it millions of dollars of advertising to report this theft by Ramsey County Sheriff’s dept ?

Maybe the state can call for a Heffelfinger-Luger report into an investigation of missing property. (sarcasm).

Many of the (over 800) of people arrested/detained during the RNC reported not receiving all or some of the personal items back and the Mayor, or City Council members would not address this. When MN Attorney General, Lori Swanson, was informed of the missing property she said it wasn’t her jurisdiction, and when complaints were given of Sheriff Fletcher she said he was an elected official. Wow.

We all know Ramsey County Attorney, Susan Gaertner, is too interested in prosecuting those arrested during the RNC, than to find out what happened to the personal property, which included video and camera equipment, cellphones, credit cards..etc. Maybe they will find them in the safes.

Maybe if the FBI could break themselves away from prosecuting young adults arrested during RNC,, they could investigate Fletcher and other agencies involved in the Metro Strike force.
