Pageant goes behind the scenes at one of the country’s most glamorous events: the 34th Annual Miss Gay America competition.

The 52 men who make vying for the drag community’s most coveted crown come from an amazingly diverse range of backgrounds, as evinced by illuminating interviews with the contestants and their families. Davis and TV producer Halpern (“How I Met Your Mother”) dive deep into this melting pot of talent as the men primp, practice and prepare to follow their dreams of divahood.
