UNITED WAY ACTION DAY:
‘UNLEASH THE POWER OF WE’
Wednesday, August 22 – Three Chances To Volunteer
The Greater Twin Cities United Way invites the public to “Unleash the Power of We” by giving just a small amount of their time to volunteer on the inaugural United Way Action Day, Wednesday, August 22, 2012.
There will be three opportunities for the public to donate their time:
- SPEED VOLUNTEERING: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Downtown Mpls and The Ecolab Plaza
- AGENCY VOLUNTEERING: 1 – 4 p.m. at Arc Greater Twin Cities, Kaleidoscope Place and Second Harvest Heartland
- TEAM CHALLENGES: 4 - 7 p.m. in Mall of America rotunda
United Way Action Day is a chance for thousands to learn about issues impacting our community, mobilize and make a difference through rolling up their sleeves by volunteering. For more information and to sign up, visit www.unitedwaytwincities.org/actionday.
Volunteers could win a $100 gift card to Mall of America by registering to volunteer by August 3 and completing the volunteer project on August 22. Winner will be notified August 24.
