TCDP TOP PICK: No one knows whether Bruce Springsteen begrudged Prince for keeping him from ever having a #1 hit ("When Doves Cry" held the Hot 100 top spot while "Dancing in the Dark" stalled at #2), but I've forgiven TROY! The Musical for claiming the Minnesota Fringe Festival encore slot that might otherwise have gone to my show Ivory Tower Burning this past summer at the Bryant-Lake Bowl. Everyone raved about TROY!, and now you can find out why: the show is returning to the BLB for an encore run. - Jay Gabler

The runaway musical comedy is back! Fresh off of its success at the 2012 Minnesota Fringe Festival, this epic retelling of the Trojan War is returning to the Bryant Lake Bowl for a three-week run this December.

When lonely Paris bemoans his non-existent love life, Aphrodite presents him the most beautiful girl in the world. One problem: she's married to a maniacal war lord. Whoops! It's ten years of battle and heartbreak as Helen and Paris discover their love for the ages, and find just how rough the course of true love can run.

Featuring all new scenes and the toe-tapping number "Let's Build a Horse", this spirited and original work incorporates ancient Greek history with Broadway-style show-tunes. Join Paris, Helen, Hector, Achilles, Odysseus --and of course that infamous wooden horse-- for the laughs and thrills that only a rousing kick-line can bring. This holiday season, get ready to go Greek!
