Tomorrow's Stars
Celebrating its 8th Anniversary, Tomorrow’s Stars brings together a diverse group of creative artists between the ages of 8 and 18 and gives them an opportunity to display and sell their artwork. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, August 4th from 11am-5pm and Sunday, August 5th from 11am-4pm at Calhoun Square, which is located on the corner of Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue in Uptown, Minneapolis.
It is important to cultivate young artists from around the Twin Cities area and give them an outlet to express themselves creatively. Tomorrow's Stars is an excellent opportunity for young artists to experience an art fair alongside seasoned and professional artists who participate in the Uptown Art Fair. They can expect to display, discuss and sell their artwork, keeping all of their earnings!
We encourage you to apply this year and help us make it the most successful year yet! To apply you may visit our website at www.uptownartfair.com to receive more information and a downloadable application. The entry form, photo of your artwork and its description, and the application fee of $20 is due by Friday, June 22 at 5:00pm. Space is limited; please return as soon as possible! Feel free to contact me via phone (612-823-4581) or email (annie [at] uptownminneapolis [dot] com (annie [at] uptownminneapolis [dot] com)) with any questions, comments or concerns.
Located in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis, Calhoun Square offers a unique mix of local and national shops, and beloved Twin Cities restaurants. Over 20 years young, the center is a hub of neighborhood activity and a local icon.
We're currently redeveloping and expanding Calhoun Square, to include more than 200,000 sq. feet of shops, restaurants and office space. The parking ramp will also be expanded, continuing to provide easy access to the center via street level and skyway level connections.
Calhoun Square is located on the corner of Lake Street and Hennepin Avenue, one of the busiest intersections in the area with both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, as well as the second heaviest bus usage (after downtown Minneapolis) in the metro area.
Broader regional access to the center is available to shoppers via five freeways located within three miles of the center.
