TCDP TOP PICK | Celebrating Black Art at the Smitten Kitten: Artist Reception

02/19/2013 - 7:30pm - 9:30pm

TCDP TOP PICK: I can almost guarantee that you don't visit the Smitten Kitten as often as you should—and there's no better time to remedy that than February 19, when TSK will be welcoming black artists—including our columnist Amina Harper—who are showing their work in the shop in honor of Black History Month. - Jay Gabler

At The Smitten Kitten, we're celebrating Black History Month by showcasing some of our favorite local visual artists.

The show includes pieces by Joy Spika, Bobby Rogers and Sara White as well as returning TSK favorites Amina Harper and Ron Brown.

Sex positive visual art graces our walls year round, and this show focuses exclusively on the work of contemporary Black visual artists whose voices we find particularly exciting.

We want to encourage the celebration of Black history and heritage all year! These amazing images will be on your mind for months to come. Work will also be for sale.

Join us for a reception with food and drink, live painting, meet the artists, and talk with them about their work.

Tuesday, February 19th
7:30pm - 9:00pm

(show runs 2/3/13 - 3/3/13)
