Opening night, Minnesota Cuban Film Festival
02/21/2013 - 7:00pm - 10:00pm
The Fourth Minnesota Cuban Film Festival begins this week.
First up, on Thursday, February 21, is Marina, a film by Enrique "Kiki" Alvarez Cuba. It's a story of love and loss refracted through the coastal background of the small town of Gibara.
It's preceded by Ano del Cerdo ("The Year of the Pig") a short feature from EICTV, the international film school, set in Havana's Chinatown.
The festival continues each Thursday evening through March 28.
