Marble Mania

02/02/2013 - 12:00pm - 3:00pm

Children of all ages and their parents are invited to Marble Mania at Mounds Park Academy (2051 Larpenteur Ave. East, St. Paul) on Saturday, February 2 from noon until 2:00 p.m. The challenge will be to design, build and showcase a pathway on which a marble can travel, including at least two obstacles to reduce its speed. Marbles will be provided by MPA and will be yours to keep. Bring your own construction materials or use the ones available including paper tubes, rope, string, tape, wood, etc.

This free experience is the second in a series of “Create at MPA” public events designed to inspire and foster creativity in kids. Mounds Park Academy believes that students learn critical skills like teamwork, ingenuity and problem-solving through hands-on opportunities like this, both in and out of the classroom.

To learn more about how MPA inspires and fosters creativity in kids, stay to meet the teachers and explore the campus during its Open House, also on Saturday, February 2 from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. There will be opportunities to talk to current students and parents, meet the admissions staff and find out more about academics, athletics, arts, clubs and extra-curricular activities, before-and-after-school care, financial aid and transportation.
