"Making the Impossible": Argentina's Uprising from 2001 to 2012 With Micaela Ryan, an activist from Buenos Aires

12/18/2012 - 7:00pm

In December 2001, thousands of Argentines took to the streets demanding an immediate end to politics as usual. Now, 11 years later, many Argentine social movements have continued to organize their own neighborhoods using assemblies and consensus, running soup kitchens, cooperatives, high schools and youth programs collectively and non-hierarchically.

Come and join us in a Skype conversation on the context and experiences of these movements with Micaela Ryan, an activist from Buenos Aires. This event is co-sponsored by EXCO. There will also be baked goods for sale!
