Lowertown First Friday

Lowertown First Fridays (LFF) is an association of artists who open their studios (or have a gallery arrangement) on the first Fridays of the month. Local businesses are also involved. We want to bring people downtown to have a good time, be part of the art scene, and of course to buy art.

Note: Since the St Paul Art Crawl is held in April and October, there is no Lowertown First Friday event those months.

Buildings will be open from 6 to 9:00 pm. beginning Friday, November 6. Please see "Events" for additional dates.

Minnesotans losing homes A record 92,500 Minnesota homes are either in foreclosure or in danger of foreclosure, reports the Star Tribune. It is tricky business reviewing a work in progress, putting the writer in a barely tenable position. How can you be fair to the playwright, casting comment on a script that's still in development? Critique the weaknesses and you're a villain for kicking the play's legs out from under it before it's had a chance to actually stand on them.
