Get connected! Getting engaged on the future of health care reform in the digital age
Now that the Supreme Court has ruled on the Affordable Care Act, where do we go from here? Join the Twin Cities Daily Planet and learn how to get connected with Physicians for a National Health Program and Health Care for All- Minnesota and the energizing work they are doing advocating for single-payer health care. Enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks while learning how to get involved with health care reform and exploring some hands on techniques for using new media to effectively engage on health care issues. Sarah Kesler, MD will discuss single payer health care David Zeller will introduce Health Care for All Minnesota Elizabeth Frost, MD, will intorduce Physicians for a National Health Plan Marcos Lopez-Carlson, engagement coordinator for the Twin Cities Media Alliance will speak on the current landscape of new media and will lead a hands-on workshop on using Twitter to effectively engage on health care. This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited and registration is required. Laptops and mobile computers are encouraged for the Twitter workshop.
