TCDP TOP PICK | "The Fugue" literary magazine release event
| TCDP TOP PICK: If this keeps up, people will stop talking about how many theater seats the Twin Cities have per capita and start talking about how many literary magazines we have per capita—it's got to be up there with New York by now. In 2012 alone, we've seen the launch of Thirty Two Magazine and Minneapplesauce; next month it will be Revolver (not to be confused with Reviler), and this month it's The Fugue. They can't all survive, so enjoy them now in the innocent flower of hopeful youth. - Jay Gabler |
Stop by Magers & Quinn on the evening of August 15th, 2012 to see why Wild Bill Hickok calls our new magazine, "The classiest Arts & Culture rag this side of the Great Divide!" We're not sure why he said that, or how he traveled into the future, but you should probably take his word for it. To get in on the free action, RSVP here, and prepare to experience the poetic stylings of award-winner J.D. Peterson, the wordsmithery of rising author Nathaniel Hicklin, or the photography of RAW artist Shanna Allyn. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. We've got L'Assassins and Savage Umbrella Theater on board to bump elbows and sign autographs. Imagine a bookstore converted into an art gallery installation. Now in the middle, have a bunch of poets and writers slam their work. Sound like a circus of culture? Sounds like "The Fugue". Brought to you by Sic Semper Serpent.
Bookstore dealing in new, used, out-of-print and collectible books in all subjects.
