Compassionate Action for Animals Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck

11/17/2012 - 12:00pm - 3:00pm

CAA's annual Vegan Thanksgiving Potluck has been well attended in years past by 100-150 people. The event is open to all Compassionate Action for Animals supporters, donors, volunteers, family, friends, and people interested in getting involved!

This is a vegan event, so attendees are asked to bring all plant-based foods (i.e., no meat, dairy, eggs, butter or cheese). The goal is a combination of appetizers, fruit/veggie salads, side dishes, main courses, desserts, and non-alcoholic beverages. In consideration for those with allergies and sensitivities, attendees are asked bring an ingredient list to place next to their dish on the serving table. Attendees may submit their recipes to share with other attendees and subscribers to the CAA email list.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own plates and utensils to reduce waste. Food scraps and paper products will be composted in the interest of being green.

There are event pages on Facebook and Meetup. CAA also needs volunteers to put on this event.

Lauren Hanson

This year's potluck will be held in memory of Lauren Hanson, who passed away in September. She was a passionate animal advocate, and had volunteered with Compassionate Action for Animals for the last four years. The Thanksgiving Potluck was a favorite event of hers.
