Aspiring Writers Workshop

01/23/2013 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

In this workshop, we will explore the nuts and bolts of your writing practice. We will learn ways to overcome writer's resistance, to discover your unique voice and to generate material. Using simple writing techniques, we will face the blank page with confidence and improve our writing skills. We will discuss the elements of story that make it come alive and focused and share tips on blogging and connecting to local resources such as the Twin Cities Daily Planet.

Seasoned writing instructor Wendy Brown-Baez has published prose and poetry in numerous literary journals as well as two books of poetry. She has published articles in the on-line newspaper Banderas News and locally in the Minnesota Women’s Press, Edge: Soul of the Cities and Saint Paul Almanac. She is the recipient of McKnight and Minnesota State Arts Board grants to teach writing workshops for at risk youth and in nonprofits.
