Art of Romance Soiree
Celebrate the Season of Love
the Artist Mercantile will host the fifth Art of Romance Soiree. This years Soiree will focus on two artists of two different mediums; Jenny Justad a glass blower out of theMinnesotaCenterfor Glass Arts and Lauren Strom a local abstract painter. As usual there will be live music, chocolates to sample, refreshments and a chance to meet the artist and see their creations.
Jenny Justad is a glass blower that has a wide range of subject matter in her portfolio. Her pieces consist of mostly sculptural glass. Jenny has focused in on creating objects ranging from brightly colored cupcakes and ice cream sundaes to the intricate details of the three dimensional human heart.
Lauren Strom paints fluffy fat love birds, birds with glasses, bunnies, bicycles and brightly colored abstracts. She also enjoys drawing on watercolor paintings with rainbow colored pencils, stamps, and black ink. Lauren has been doing this style of work since 2007 and her paintings are bright, colorful and have a youthful appeal.
This is a free event and featured artwork runs through April 5th 2013.
The Artist Mercantile is an art boutique that has an eclectic mix of Art and gifts. The focus is to carry high quality products to sell to the public while supporting the Artists. It is the home to 70 Midwest Artists working in a wide variety of disciplines. It is a place or Artists to gain exposure and experience selling their work on consignment.
There is a welcoming atmosphere and with new creations coming in weekly you are bound to have a new experience with each visit. We pride ourselves on taking care of each individual customer. We want to make sure you find that one of a kind perfect gift. Located in the heart of downtown St. Paul, Minnesota we are just a stroll from the Excel Energy Center, hotels and restaurants.
