Bethel University’s Olson Gallery pleased to present new works by Bethel University Associate Professor of Art Jeff Wetzig.
Jeff Wetzig’s collection of prints transform their traditional roots in Japanese woodblock prints to explore the medium as a means of installation. He investigates the idea of boundaries and borders as they relate to themes such as mass communication, repetition, and fear. The delicate nature of line and color in his woodblock prints are an interesting contrast to their subject matter.

Red Wing Framing Gallery exhibits original illustration advertising art from The Cream of Wheat Company.
Milling factories dominated the Minneapolis economy in the early 20th century and the Cream of Wheat company was a major influence in shaping this industry. From its founding in 1897, Cream of Wheat hot cereal achieved worldwide recognition for its full color, fine art illustrated advertising.
Emery Mapes, a demanding and eccentric marketing genius, shaped Cream of Wheat’s iconic campaign, and hired the best talent available to execute his vision.

The Goodwill Project
Goodwill has 13 stores metro-wide and they need your help! Proceeds from all stores go to assisting people with barriers to education and employment.
Assist with store production and merchandising by sorting products, helping customers, organizing books and toys and hanging clothes for displays.

Solar Energy: Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Photovoltaics

In joint cooperation, Century College and the Minnesota Renewable Energy Society (MRES) developed, a new one-day introductory course for homeowners and people interested in learning the basics of how to design a solar photovoltaic (PV) system for residential applications.
The essentials of creating electricity from sun light are covered. You will learn to evaluate solar site resource, when solar PV is the right solution, the economics and incentives for solar PV, and system design principles. System components, system sizing, PV panels, inverters, grid connected vs.
Saturday Puppet Shows for Kids at HOBT

Come for the show and stay for the “Make-n-Take” workshop based on that day’s puppet show theme. Workshops are a family activity offered in our classroom at 11:00am each Saturday morning. Admission is $4/person.
